Project AWARE Goes to the Park,  geared toward school-aged youth and their communities, will allow Hoosiers to choose from three simple mental health-promoting activities to complete within one of the 32 Indiana State Parks any day in September. After completing their chosen activity, participants can submit to enter into a drawing for a 2021 Annual Indiana State Park pass. Hoosiers can access the self-led activity guide online at: http://bit.ly/pagoestothepark or may pick up a physical copy of the guide within any of Indiana’s State Parks and Reservoirs. Directions for entry into the park pass drawing are detailed in the guide.

Additionally, five Indiana State Parks will be hosting mental wellness programs throughout the month of September led by DNR State Park Interpretive Naturalists. The participating parks include Mounds State Park, Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park, McCormick’s Creek State Park, Brown County State Park and Indiana Dunes State Park. Information about these programs can be found by accessing the DNR Programs Calendar September schedule. Please note, spots for these guided programs are limited due to COVID-19 and pre-registration is required. Admission to State Parks is $7.00 per day, per vehicle for Indiana residents.
